About us
Coral (Sprinkles) & Jason (Geek)
Our Face

Jason (AKA Texas) was born in Kansas and moved to Texas as a child where he grew up. He's a geek in all senses of the word - with a big love for Coral, technology and British TV.

Coral was born and raised in Chicago and moved to Minnesota as a teenager, but Chicago will always be home. She's a bacon lovin' Jew with an obnoxious laugh and an even bigger love for her Texas (not the state).

The luck of the Irish is to thank for bringing us together! Neither of us is Irish, but Jason does enjoy an Irish beer sometimes... We met through a mutual friend via a cell phone being thrown at Jason with Coral on the other end on St. Patrick's Day. A few months of long phone conversations between us ended with Nyssa and Coral taking a vacation to Texas (the state) to visit. We spent about 10 days together enjoying some southern hospitality with good people, good food, and good music. Nyssa and Coral returned to the tundra of Minnesota - soon Jason started talking about moving here! Coral told Jason to NEVER move for a girl (her). He moved anyway... (lucky girl).

Jason had been in Minnesota for a few months and we were spending a lot of time together, but Coral was adamant that we were just friends. Despite Jason's trying, Coral wasn't ready to start dating again, and said no over and over and over - he's a persistent one! The BFFs will tell you that we were dating though... One day in November, Kath told Coral it was time to ask Jason out and to follow her grandmother's words of advice: "the answer is always no if you don't ask." Coral was ready to flip the script and ask Jason out that night... but he beat her to it and asked her out over macaroni and cheese at Noodles - Coral said yes and Jason nearly choked on his food in shock. Jason clearly knew something Coral didn't know yet...

Coral is a bit (okay, maybe a lot) stubborn and Jason tried for a few weeks to get her to the spot where he wanted to ask the big question. On a cold winter day Jason dragged (nearly literally) a crabby Coral out for random adventure which ended with a walk on the Stone Arch Bridge. Jason insisted on a picture of a random something in the river. While Coral was taking a picture, Jason got on one knee in the snow, ready to surprise her when she turned around. At this point, it gets a bit vague. He said some really loving things (Coral assumes), but she doesn't remember any of it. After asking "will you marry me?" She said "Shut up, are you kidding me? No way! Oh my goodness..." and some other random mumblings. He said, "It's a diamond!" That's when it clicked and she said YES! Needless to say, Coral was happy and in shock!

The BIG day is planned for this summer - June 2nd to be exact. We fell in love with the historic Stillwater Courthouse and will have the wedding ceremony and reception there surrounded by our amazing friends and family.
